This is not a good week for our household, the younger two have been sick and I am still awaiting that burst of energy that's suppose to come with the third trimester. Girl started running a temperature and vomiting Tuesday eve and baby boy followed about 12 hours later. If there is anything I don't like it is the vomiting, I feel like I should spray Lysol on anything and everything and anything and everything is suspect. We also have a house guest who is elderly and not in the peak of health so I'm scared to death that she will get sick too. Needless to say my laundry is to the brim, my Father's day chore list is longer than the original, I haven't been sleeping from these lousy false contractions, I'm semi-stressed out so it's time to enlist the help of the head of household!

Thank God for nurses - especially if you are married to one - what a blessing! He is always (willing and able) to come to my rescue at times like these when all I can do is succumb to the stress LOL.
With him in mind one sleepless night, I thought about how romance
DOES change after the honeymoon phase. For those of you who are entering the married state or are newly committed (hi Eileen! lol) you will be told many times that this too shall pass (THIS being the lovey-dovey phase). But have no fear, it isn't all that bad so enjoy it while you can and be kissy face all you want now. These will eventually change meaning as the reality of married life, perhaps children, personality quirks come into play. What the heck am I talking about??? Well let me put it to you this way, after eleven years of knowing Lawrence, what's romantic to me now is how he takes care of me and the kids - he lets me sleep in, he bathes, feeds, takes the kids camping, basically gets them out of my hair even when I want them in my hair lol. He wouldn't let me touch the lawn mower or take the trash out, he's so in tune with my taste that I can totally trust him to buy me clothes and other fashionista indulgences. He texts me at least once a day just to call me "MY LOVE" (sweet 'no??? lol). We're not as kissy face, crazy hands-all-over- each other kids anymore but romance does get better with time if you know how to recognize it in its new form. It is being
TRULY ONE despite our imperfections and shortcomings and even after we've gotten on each other's nerves

. I wasn't lying when I said many years ago that I highly recommend the married life.
To all you Fathers out there, keep up the good job and have a good weekend!!!
