A 3-year old's idea of punishment

Child number 3 was especially fidgety and ornery during Mass yesterday.  The first punishment warning was given and predictably ignored.  We don't have the 3 strikes policy, if the kids don't shape up after the first warning there is "punishment abyss" to face (it's not that scary at least not to anybody older than 6 lol).  So anyway after Mass I promptly told the 3-year old that he is to sit on his bed for 3 minutes for his disobedience (that is capital sin at our household and you won't believe how long 3 minutes is to a 3 year old).  He, of course, cried and wailed and looked at me with pain all over his face.  He stopped only to quip, "THEN CAN I HAVE AN ICE CREAM SUNDAE?"  Punishment with privileges, kids today are smart! No, he did not get a sundae!
