"Crispy air and azure
skies,
High above, a white cloud flies,
Bright as newly fallen snow.
Oh the joy to those who know October!
Colors bright on bush and tree.
Over the weedy swamp, we see
A veil of purple and brown and gold.
Thy beauty words have never told. October!

It's no secret, I love October. I love Autumn. I love the chilly outdoors, breathing in the fresh air and crunching leaves underfoot. I love the cozy indoors curled up with a good book and cup of hot coffee. This season appeals to my senses with it's fiery reds, vibrant yellows and bright oranges. If there is one month that I wish would last forever, it is October.

You've really taken advantage of the beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish we schooled in the Summer so we can enjoy all of October. Everyday I wake up and think I should take the kids out before it gets too cold to play outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure THEY get out plenty. It's you (and I) who are stuck indoors. I just sit on my front porch and breathe.
DeleteYup, I shoo them out to play while I do chores! Most days I have to remind myself I need to go out there and smell the roses, not just to run.
