A Trek To Cantwell Cliffs

I'm currently in denial about the fact that school for my oldest two will start next week.  I find that there is really no easy way to transition from summer to back-to-school homeschooling or otherwise.  Summer is not good for me that way.  It is hard to detach from a laid back schedule. To prolong my summer love affair I keep looking back at all the pictures uploaded on my Cloud (6,816 photos to be exact!)  This has been a full and fun summer of traipsing outdoors.  The mostly mild weather allowed many days out of the house.  But the downside is now that it's time to hunker down I am seeing all the work that needs to be done inside the house. A gal's work is never done.

One of my favorite outing was a day trip to the Hocking Hills.  We make this trip at least twice a year usually ending up at Old Man's Cave.  This time around we wanted to go somewhere different and new (to us).  Our adventure took us to the scenic and slightly treacherous Cantwell Cliffs.  I have no adequate words for that place.  On the one hand I kept thinking one slight misstep could be the end of my life and on the other, wow, just wow. I also kept thinking a Beautiful Destinations photographer need to do this place justice because my mediocre camera surely was not cutting it.

Since I claim to have no words about this place let me share the photos, not all six thousand, promise!

On my next entry I will share pictures from another Hocking Hills attraction - the Rock House
