A Girl After My Own Heart

And I have the pictures to prove it....

On Saturday morning I was ordered to stay in bed until further notice.  The girl and the middle child prepared a surprise breakfast and it's not even my birthday or Mother's Day yet!

 

After realizing we didn't have enough of the normal breakfast staple, she decided to bake cinnamon buns from scratch (a recipe she hasn't tried before!)

She even made her very own icing

and how sweet is this place card?

today she asked if she could paint my nails, this was the perfect treat after I washed the floors (see the shiny floor?! ignore the ugly feet lol)

and to top it off, as I type this she is making dinner (I don't micro-manage her cooking because she knows her stuff!)

Not to be outdone, my boys are as equally generous and loving.  I've said it before and I will say it again, I am very thankful for the gift of seeing the early fruits of our sacrifice and hardwork as parents.  The Lord is generous.
