Family Reunion

Today was my husband's family reunion on his dad's side.  My now deceased father-in-law was the youngest of five, he is survived by three siblings, five kids, a gazillion grand children and countless nieces and nephews.  When he was alive his house (where we live now) was the normal place to have these family gatherings.  Once a year he had what's called a "turnover party" where he makes his world famous cottage cheese turnovers.  Today we didn't have turnovers and the party wasn't at our house.  It was held at my husband's cousin's beautiful property.  My husband warned me that once I get there I will covet it, not just the house but the property and he was right.  I'll let the pictures do the talking...

the GPS doesn't lie, we're in the middle of nowhere and that's exactly where I want to live
the oldest and the youngest of the Jerry grand kids
there were so many of us we had to have name tags, here the five-year-old writes his own
there's a lake where one can swim and go boating
beautiful afternoon after the rain
the kids wasted no time jumping in the water
the husband takes me on a boat ride...
