This Is It

In a matter of hours our oldest will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  I am a Sacrament cryer.  I cried tears of joy at our children's Baptism, First Reconciliation and First Communion. This year I started crying early - during Confirmation practice LOL. I think the Holy Spirit gave me the gift of tears :-)

After Mass on Sunday the boy blurted out how he just can't wait, he's so excited that he can't sleep.  I asked him why and he said to me: "Mom, I have no memory of my baptism. This Sacrament is something I freely choose, something I will have a memory of.  This is it.  This is it until the next Sacrament I freely choose - to get married or become a priest".

And that ladies and gentlemen, is why I do what I do.  Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever.

    1. He sure makes me a proud mama. By the way, Fr. Blau loved the rosary you gave the boy. He blessed it and told M that the quality of your rosary is called the "indestructible rosary". I'm sure M will tell you about it when we play next.
