Answer Me This

It's a very rainy Wednesday.  I'm still not feeling 100%.  Our homeschool End of School Year Party was postponed for tomorrow. I'm hoping we are all in the peak of health tomorrow, my children will be so bummed to miss this awesome event. I am so over being sick but do enjoy the down time and pampering I am getting from everyone.

Hubby and I recently celebrated our 14th anniversary.  Since I was sick we had a date night at home.  The kids had their own movie night in the boy's bedroom while hubby and I watched Gladiator (so romantic, right? LOL)  The movie was enjoyable but the popcorn and beer tasted like cardboard, I better be losing a lot of weight being ill! I was hoping to write an entry singing the praises of my saintly husband but I promised him a while back that I won't write about him unless absolutely necessary.

So today I am joining Kendra at Catholic All Year, belatedly, for the Answer Me This link-up.  I've been meaning to join this for awhile but real life always gets in the way of blogging fun. Today I'm not living the real life of chores and all around domestic busy-ness so here it goes...

1. Do you have a smartphone?
Nope. I have a good old dumbphone which I am very satisfied with. I have a Samsung something or other that does the very minimum, call and text. My smartest toy around here is a Kindle Fire HDX which helped ease the covetousness for a smartphone.

2. Which is your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast or breakfast for dinner ;-)  It's also my favorite dine-out meal.  Bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns and a good cup of coffee. Yum. I'm making myself hungry.  But for realz, it's half a bagel with cream cheese or peanut butter for me most days.

3. Shower or bath?
Realistically, shower but wishful thinking, bath. When you are at the beck and call of five children, baths are a luxury.  Maybe when I'm 80.

4. Think of a person you love. How many days have you been in love with that person? (Thank you Kendra for providing this date calculator)I can't tell you exactly when I fell in love with my husband but we've been married for 5115 days. Now add four years (of long distance engagement) to that, that's approximately how long I've been in love with him.

5. What's the best church you've ever been inside?
This is a hard question to answer for someone who grew up in the Philippines with it's amazing and historic churches.  I particularly love old (sometimes ruined) churches.  But for the sake of brevity I will say Manila Cathedral.  If you have the time, I highly recommend googling churches in the Philippines.

6. Happy Feast of the Visitation (on Saturday)! Has anyone ever come to help YOU?
A thousand times yes.  We are very blessed to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. We don't ever want for help. God's generosity is manifest in our family and friends.

Don't forget to visit Kendra, et al. for the rest of the Answer Me This link-up.

  1. Sorry, but you won't be able to get in and out of the tub when you're 80. Hang the "do not disturb" sign and do it now. ;-)

    1. Maybe by then they will have invented a bed that converts into a tub at a push of a button! In the meantime it looks like no baths forever.
