When we chatted with the bishop last week the oldest mentioned that he was confirmed a month ago. I was a bit taken aback by that, it didn't seem that long ago. The flurry of activities of the last few weeks seemed to have contributed to my having no sense of time passing.
Confirmation day was beautiful despite the weather. It was so good to have my sister and brother in town. The boy was so excited. He was excited for the Sacrament and to see if he could answer any questions that the bishop would ask. And answer (a lot) he did! They had a good exchange going for awhile, I was so proud (like always LOL). The bishop even remembered that question and answer exchange last week. I just pray that all this head and heart knowledge continue to guide this child on the right path.
Speaking of being excited, we completely forgot to take pictures with the rest of the family. My husband's siblings were there (we missed you Sharon!) and I regret not taking a picture of my brother who is always dressed to the nines. He looked very spiffy bow tie and all. I love bow ties. We also didn't take pictures of the party. Our house was packed with friends and family. We are so very blessed.
Anyhow, I do have some pictures to share so here it goes...

Barb made a beautiful Confirmation rosary which one of the Friars called the "indestructible rosary", even he recognized the indestructible quality of this gift. She also made the girl's First Communion rosary a couple of years ago. Go check out her Etsy store Mary Devotions, she also creates First Communion veils and scapulars. |

Confirmation class - the oldest making faces at his brother who took this picture, he's just above Sr. Maria Vianney's right shoulder. We did order the official picture where he wasn't making faces.
Back to my sick bed...we're still under the weather over here.
