Thank You, Photogenic Season

I meant to post something completely different for today's edition of 30 Days of Thanks.  Then the outdoors beckoned reminding me not to let my favorite season pass without a hint of gratitude. Autumn, with it's comforting blanket of fiery red and yellow foliage is my camera's favorite subject. For these photogenic moments I am truly thankful:

promise of a glorious day (before the rain, that is)

the backyard will not be outdone in beauty

raking a pile to jump into

the oldest samples the pile

this greets me everyday on the way home from church

drinking it all in from my front porch while sipping a hot cup of tea, it's the daily bliss

a perfect leaf for mama

he loves the leaves too

don't let the runny nose distract you from the beauty lol

leaves to be waxed
