Our neighborhood lost power right as we were finishing up dinner. The kids quickly headed outdoors to play with their friends in the dark. I secretly enjoy these power outages, especially if it's not too prolonged and we don't lose refrigerated goods. That's when the neighborhood comes alive with chatter both from kids and adults. I wish I had the opportunity to just sit on my front porch and catch up with the neighbors but we had some errands to run. By the time we got home the power was back on and everyone was back in the comforts of their lit homes. Having said all of that I need to hit the hay, it's been a long day so I will leave you with a short post from one of my favorite mystic saints whose feast we celebrate today -
"There is more value in a little study of humility and in a single act of it than in all the knowledge in the world" - St. Teresa of Avila
Tomorrow I will write about what I originally planned to write today, my particular affection for mystic saints.
