Bad Business Practice

Power came back sometime during the early morning today.  The wind finally died down replaced by a cool, brisk morning.  My youngest felt ill yesterday.  By dinner time he had a temperature. He missed CCD and Mass today.  Currently he still has a fever so I won't blog for very long.

I feel like October is going by too quickly.  I'm a bit behind schedule with schoolwork and Fall cleaning.  Nothing too drastic, just stuff I was hoping to be done with.

We were hoping to get some work done on our bathroom before Thanksgiving but it looks like it will have to wait until Spring.  What is it with high-pressure salespeople?! When we were getting estimates to get windows replaced in our sunroom  (years ago) we were pressured to commit or we won't get the "special discount".  Same thing happened lately while trying to get an estimate for bathroom renovation.  The salesperson told us the discount they are offering was a "today only" deal.  When we asked if we can let him know later that day he said nope because he was traveling to another client in another state.  Needless to say, that company is NOT getting our business.  I don't like being pressured into making a decision in the same day given the amount of money involved.  The audacity of this person (and possibly this company) to think that their high pressure tactics is the way to go is really irritating.

Oh well, on to the next contractor....pm me if you have a good bathroom reno person!

In the meantime, how cute is middle child cuddling with his sick brother?! -

  1. Aw, hope he's feeling better by now. October really is flying by. It always does. I'm excited to see your bathroom renovation whenever it is done.
