Christmas Gift Ideas

I came from a country that has the longest Christmas season in the world.  Once September 1st rolls around the old country begins to hum with anticipation.  Even now I am seeing friends post their Christmas decorations on Facebook and most have done or about to be done with their Christmas shopping. So you can understand why I don't mind seeing early Christmas stuff at the stores.  The picture above was taken two weeks ago at Old Time Pottery when I was looking for Autumn decor.  It made me a bit excited. I love Christmas.

You would think that having four months to prepare make the actual day anti-climactic but it does the opposite.  Christmas Eve arrives with such a buzzing joy and the festive atmosphere is unlike anything I have experienced here in the West.  I wish I could recreate that feeling for my children but they just have to go to the Philippines to experience it for themselves.  The season ends with a satisfying feeling that it has been properly celebrated.  I have written enough about it in the past so I won't do another post.

The following are some of the finds I can recommend as possible gift ideas for the people in your list.  I am not getting any monetary compensation from these recommendations, just happy to share good things.  Okay, here we go:

Otium Bluetooth Wireless Headphones   - my oldest child can vouch for how good this headphones are.  He uses it while running, it's waterproof and stays in place even during a hard run.
Basspal Soundpro Bluetooth Speakers - this little machine is excellent.  The sound is crisp, the bass surprisingly heavy for the size
Anjou Makeup Brush Set - these are the softest synthetic brushes, it does not shed and for the price you can't go wrong.

L&N Rainberry Leather Earrings - one of the things I love about leather earrings is that they are lightweight and can be a dressy or a casual look. I've been coveting all the colors so I may actually add this to my Christmas list. I currently own a yellow and a red pair.
Bookmarks Are For Quitters Tshirt - for the bookworm on your shopping list.  It's true to size and does not shrink in the wash. So fun!

That's it for now.  There will be a part two.  Are you done Christmas shopping?

  1. Good suggestions! I'm debating what to put on my shopping list this year. I'm certainly not done, but I have started. ;)

I was reflecting about decorating for Christmas. For awhile, I tried doing it slowly, but find that I'm reverting back to earlier and earlier and playing Christmas songs. How can that spirit get old? The kids love it too.

    1. I actually have a list of what I want this year! I'm that hard to buy for person because I don't even know what I want. This year is different lol.

I leave most of the decorating now to the kids. We usually pit it up Friday after Thanksgiving only because races are done by done so I am out of training and can focus more on Christmas.
