When The Bug Won't Leave

"Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul." - 3 John 2

This will be a short post so I can attend to the ailing people in my house. Currently, three out of five kids are sick.  It is looking like a bleak weekend.  Or maybe it will be a good weekend of just sleeping and recovering.  It's been three weeks of illnesses in our home.  Most likely it's the flu.  My job is to NOT get sick.  I think parents are not allowed to be sick.  I always jest that I miss being truly sick, as in spend a few days bed, everybody wait hand and foot for me sick.  Isn't that sad to wish illness upon one's self in hopes of getting a good rest?  But such is the life of a parent.  We will take whatever opportunity and form of rest we can get! Keep us in your prayers this week!  And as usual, when you are done here go and visit my friends who are keeping me company this month - Autumn, Nicole, Barb, and Christine.

  1. I'm praying Faith doesn't bring it home -- with a young infant in the house!

  2. One of mine mentioned that a girl went to school sick - as in stomach emptying itself sick - yesterday and I am SO hoping that little virus just skipped right over her!

Happy for some vitamin D in the form of sunshine this weekend, though! Prayers for your family that the bug stops there (LOL, kinda punny there).

    1. Loving the pun. Our rule is no school when they have a fever or possibly contagious (hubby makes this determination). I haven't had anyone vomit in school yet but we've definitely sent them there hacking and coughing.

  3. No fun. Hope you are all on the mend sooner rather than later, and you avoid it for the race.

    1. G is still not full healed. Already lost weigh, she took it really hard with this flu. The oldest bounced back within 48 hours but I still have two boys who are coughing. The middle child has, so far, been spared. We'll see!!!

    2. Poor girl. We were hit last spring and I really worried for one of mine - walking like an old man, in a lot of pain, and four days of fever and barely moving. So rough. And here I was worried about A getting it with his diabetes and he only had a touch!

      Hopefully all better soon!!
