Daybook- Snowy Evening Edition

Outside My Window - street lamp illuminating the snow showers that we have been anticipating all day. It's so beautiful out especially when you are enjoying it from the warmth of your home.

I'm Listening To - boys making a ruckus as they play.  Sometimes I can't handle the noise but today I love that there's not a lot of school work for the middle child so he can play with the younger siblings. Contrary to my usual opinion about noise, this one is almost music to my ears.

The Week Ahead - a very fun, exciting week with my siblings arriving to town for the Hot Chocolate run. I get to take my sister to the women's dinner at my parish and they will be able to attend a Mass that altar boy is serving.  I specifically requested for him to serve while my siblings are in town. This week is going to be epic. I can't wait!!!

What's Cooking - we had  bow-tie Alfredo for dinner.  The girl made a pudding pie.  We have ham waiting for family this week and since we are a foodie family, we will be traipsing around town sampling local (and not so local) cuisine.  With my brother, the better cook amongst us (I might be the best hahaha), we may request to have him cook some of his best recipes.  It will be good food week over here.

Homeschool Is Cool - school is light for the week as we prepare for this family visit.

Prayers- for Katie's son Adam and her whole family.

What I'm Reading - almost finished with Emma. There are some characters in that book that stress me out!  Miss Bates, Mrs. Elton, Mr. Elton.  I'm currently at the height of Mrs. Elton's self-righteousness and she's driving me insane.

30 Days Of Thanks - for today I'm thankful that I get to do what I get to do - serve my family, serve my church. I'm not always thankful about serving.  There are days where I'm stretched thin, the limits of my abilities and patience reminding me of my fallible humanity.  But today there's joy in the serving and for that I am truly thankful.

Picture Perfect - the siblings
